Love Yourself From the Inside-Out: Superfood Smoothies

Ready to love yourself from the inside-out? Start your day off with one of these delicious smoothie recipes from wellbe’s holistic nutritionist, Sabrina Virdee. Packed with nutrient-rich fruit, vegetables and other amazing ingredients, these recipes are easy to make and will have you feeling great all winter long!

Golden Smoothie

Glow from the inside out with this golden smoothie. 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light coconut milk

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple

  • 1/2 zucchini (chopped and peeled, frozen)

  • 1 1/2 tsp ginger (fresh, minced)

  • 1 tsp turmeric

Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Hot Chocolate Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower

  • 1 pitted date

  • 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/8 tsp sea salt (optional, for topping)

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add the almond milk and date. Bring to a simmer and then add to a blender. Add the remaining ingredients. Blend carefully, allowing space for the heat to escape, until smooth and creamy. Serve warm and enjoy!

Gingerbread Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

  • 1/4 banana (frozen)

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 1 1/2 tsp blackstrap molasses

  • 1/2 tsp ginger (fresh, minced)

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (ground)

  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Apple Pie Smoothie 

Ingredients

  • 1 apple (medium, peeled and chopped)

  • 1/4 banana (frozen)

  • 4 ice cubes

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

  • 2 tbsp oats

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon (ground)

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
