focusing on your body from head-to-toe

To us, chiropractic care isn’t just fixing your back and offering temporary relief from your aches and pains. Instead, we focus on your body from head-to-toe, treating the bones, muscles, tissues and joints that your body puts to use every single day. We understand how to optimize movement so you can get back to feeling yourself, all while helping you prevent future injury and improve your quality of life—in other words, we’ll get you back to the things you love to do!

We get it—a first time chiropractic experience can seem scary or intimidating, but our team uses a gentle touch when putting their hands-on techniques (like manual therapy and mobilizations) to use. We take the time to listen to you, ask questions, and assess and examine your body and find out what’s been bothering  you. Then we work collaboratively with you to get you back on track. There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment here—we honour each person’s individuality and create individualized, unique treatment plans that will keep you moving—whether that be doing that downward dog again or playing on the playground with your little ones.

Using a gentle approach, our chiropractors use hands-on techniques to help your body move and feel better, faster. We take the time to listen, examine, diagnose and treat. Our treatment will help release your tight and tense muscles and fascia, get restricted joints moving, improve your range of motion, restore function and decrease pain. Manual therapy techniques may include myofascial release, joint manipulation and mobilizations, soft tissue therapy.

Acupuncture is a gentle and safe way to successfully treat many common conditions and injuries. Insertion of delicate needles at specific points on the body creates a flow of Qi - improving blood flow, alleviating pain and dysfunction and restoring health. Acupuncture has been proven to be an effective treatment for many conditions including the following:

  • Low back pain/sciatica
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Neck pain
  • TMJ
  • Repetitive strain injuries such as wrist pain, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, etc.
  • Infertility
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Stress management
  • Digestive disorders
  • Degenerative conditions - eg. osteoarthritis, disc disease
  • Neurological symptoms

In addition, acupuncture may also be used during the pre and postnatal period as well as to gently prepare the body for labour in the last few weeks before delivery.

Not just for pro athletes anymore! Kinesiotape (or K-tape) provides gentle support to strained muscles and joints, encourages healing by increasing blood flow and creates body and movement awareness. It’s true—a little tape goes a long way.

Taking manual therapy one step further, myofascial release involves applying gentle but firm sustained pressure to tight connective tissue improving motion, and relieving pain.

To enhance treatment, our therapists use modalities such as Interferential Current (IFC), Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Therapeutic Ultrasound. These modalities, when used in conjunction with therapy, help to improve blood flow and speed healing and recovery.

Therapeutic Ultrasound and Blocked Ducts Blocked ducts are a common concern most nursing mothers face in the postnatal period. At wellbe, our therapists can often help. Using a combination of Therapeutic Ultrasound and effleurage massage, our therapists will help clear ducts and encourage draining. Ultrasound is a quick, effective and conservative treatment, which has shown to reduce swelling and pain ratings in patients just after one treatment session. Contact us to book!

Using our patient centered approach, we design an active exercise program that suits your specific injury and needs. We understand how to optimize movement so you can get back to feeling yourself, all while helping you prevent future injury and improve your quality of life - in other words, we will help get you back to the things you love to do!

The Webster Technique is a gentle yet specific treatment technique designed specifically for pregnant patients to help ease the symptoms of an unbalanced pelvis and misaligned spine. The goal of treatment is to reduce the tension in the lower back, hips and pelvis and improve alignment.

Our chiropractors are specially trained in the Webster Technique, to help the pelvis open, allowing your baby space to move into proper, optimal positioning. The technique also helps to maintain that ideal positioning leading up to delivery. In addition, our chiropractors release tight muscles and ligaments in other areas of the body that may be bothersome.

Think of your feet as the foundation for your whole body, similar to the foundation of a house, our feet support the weight of everything above them. If the foundation is cracked or unstable in any way this could affect the structure all the way up!

The primary goal of an orthotic insert is to help reduce unnecessary stresses and strains in your feet, lower limbs and lower back by re-aligning your lower extremity.

Custom orthotics work on your feet much like glasses work on your eyes – they reduce stress and strain on your body by bringing your feet back into proper alignment. By improving this alignment, the body is able to function more efficiently with less stress on the muscles and ligaments that hold the rest of you together.

A foot orthotic may be effective in helping to actually treat a number of lower limb dysfunctions. In fact, research shows that orthotics can treat and actually prevent mechanically induced foot problems leading to common injuries like knee pain, shin splints, and pain along the bottom of the foot.
