Dr. Laura Thompson

Chiropractor, Nova Scotia explant & self-proclaimed “chatty charlie”

if there’s one thing Dr. Laura loves, it’s human connection.

It’s a big reason why she decided to become a chiropractor — she thrives when it comes to interacting with people, getting to know them, and helping them on their holistic journey of healing.

Laura always knew she wanted to go into healthcare, but it wasn’t until she found a chiropractor that helped her heal from a soccer injury that plagued her for seven years that she had her “aha!” moment that led her to a career in chiropractic care. She moved to Toronto from her hometown of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to do her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and the rest is history!

Dr Laura’s approach to practice is patient-centered and she is passionate about improving patients’ knowledge through ongoing education and individualized treatment plans that provide them with the tools to become active participants in their own health and wellbeing. In order to best serve her patients, she utilizes a combination of techniques including manual therapy and mobilization, myofascial release techniques, rehabilitative exercise, ergonomics, and education.

She enjoys treating patients of all ages and in all stages of life including pre and post-natal patients, athletes, children, seniors, and those dealing with ongoing and overlapping health conditions.

You’ll feel instantly comforted and connected by her bubbly personality — just brace yourself for what she calls her “terrible wordplay” (we find it endearing, for the record).
