Missing wellbe during this uncertain time of social distancing?

We miss you too, wellbe-ers!

We know how much you love your wellbe practitioners and all the amazing things they do, so we’ve come up with the next best thing in light of the current pandemic -we’re calling it #wellbeonline!

#wellbeonline has taken some of your fave practitioners and their services virtual!  That means that you can still see and interact with members of the wellbe team online and without putting your health at risk!

With secure encrypted software, our patients are able to connect virtually from the comfort of their own home (I mean, where else would you be?).

Virtual sessions and telerehabilitation (including physiotherapy and chiropractic services) are the best way to continue your wellness care with your practitioners.

We’ve put together a few commonly asked questions about virtual appointments and how they work.

Q. Can I do all wellness services virtually?

We  are able to offer many of our wellbe wellness services online - however not every service is appropriate for online consultations.

We are unable to perform registered massage therapy (sad face…) and acupuncture servcies as virtual visits.

Q. How can physiotherapy and chiropractic care be offered as a virtual visit?

While it’s true that nothing can replace a manual therapy treatment such as an adjustment/manipulation, soft tissue/fascial stretching and mobilization - there is so much more to wellbe’s chiropractic and physiotherapy treatment that can help our patients online.  

Using virtual chiropractic care and physiotherapy services is for any patient that needs ongoing services to help them with their wellness journey.  It provides an opportunity for you to check in with your practitioner, address any concerns or questions you may have about your current plan and talk about progressing your rehabilitation and recovery.  As always, we strive to achieve the wellbe experience, by providing 1 on 1 individualized care and treatment plans, resource sharing and evidenced based therapy.  

Plus, we love seeing your happy wellbe-er faces!

Q. Are virtual visits covered by health insurance plans?

The situation is currently changing as insurance companies change their policies to adapt to the current health crisis.  While we know for sure that most insurance companies are covering virtual visits (eg. Sunlife, Great West Life and Manulife), others are currently working on their policies.  We are happy to work with you to find out if your insurance provider will reimburse your session. You will receive an invoice with the service that you received along with “virtual” and the duration of your visit displayed.

Q. How do I book a virtual visit?

It’s super easy!  Using our current Jane platform (hellowellbe.janeapp.com), click on Virtual Services.  All of our virtual treatments are available to book online or by emailing us at info@hellowellbe.com or calling us at 416-831-7547.
