wellbe’s holiday gift guide

  • A gift card for a paint night/ woodworking class/ pottery decorating or making class, etc - something they can join in on with you. You get a fun unique homemade gift at the end of spending time with your loved one! (Louise, pelvic floor + orthopedic physiotherapist)

  • Support a local food drive (purchase a pre-made bag at a grocery store or donate shelf-stable items to a little food pantry). (Aislinn, client experience coordinator)

  • A subscription to National Geographic Kids and Owl Magazine - best gifts for kiddos! (Dr. Aliya, co-founder, chiropractor + acupuncturist)

  • Invite a friend/family member who will be alone for the holidays for a dinner, hot chocolate or a skate. (Michael, RMT)

  • A homemade gift/card swap. Instead of giving gifts to all the children, this year for Hanukkah, we did a homemade gift/card swap among the kids. My own children took pride in making and giving something and also appreciated what it took to create the gift they received in a brand new way. (Meghan, social worker)

  • Put books (especially kids books) in a community little library - pass on the gift of reading! (Aislinn, customer experience coordinator)

  • Donate to a local charity. COVID has disrupted many lives and burdened some people more than others. Red Door Family Shelter is in Leslieville offering shelter to families of people fleeing from domestic violence. (Michael, RMT)

  • A special ornament to add to their collection. The homemade ones are always the best! (Devyn, chiropractor)

  • Make holiday tree decorating an event to share with friends or family members that don't or can't have trees in their homes. (Aislinn, client experience coordinator)

  • Give the gift of a massage! Simply massaging your kid's head or your partner's hands has huge positive effects on the brain and body. It's also a nice way to spend quality time away from screens and spending money. (Michael, RMT)

  • Participate in a toy drive and donate gifts to surprise some special kids over the holidays. (Aislinn, customer experience coordinator)

  • Support Indigenous artists at the ANDPVA’s Indigenous Art Market. (Claire, social worker)
