Amy Tanaka
registered massage therapist, fitness fanatic, outdoor adventure enthusiast
Book with Amy (leslieville)Amy’s passion for massage therapy started at a young age.
As a child, she used to stand on the back of her parents’ chairs and massage them just for fun. Now, she’s a Registered Massage Therapist who takes pride in her thorough and compassionate approach to treatment. Her main goal in her career is to help people improve their quality of life and ensure that her patients live comfortably in their daily life.
A former athlete (she played competitive soccer for 11 years), Amy is intrigued by injury recovery and how physical activity makes people feel. This interest in anatomy, body mechanics and fitness led her to the Physical and Health Education program at Queen’s University. Amy’s passion for working with people face-to-face in a health care setting prompted her further study at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. She completed the advanced standing program and has been striving to make a physical difference in peoples’ lives ever since.
Amy is committed to providing exceptional care by conducting full-body assessments so she can develop an objective image of her patient’s presentation. Amy is always eager to learn more so she can do more and attends workshops so she can constantly expand and improve her practice. Amy is attentive to the uniqueness of each individual patient and will go above and beyond to do additional research so she can provide effective and personalized treatments for everyone.
Bottom line, if you’re looking for a relaxing massage that will ease your body’s stress and at the same time, send your mind into utter bliss - Amy’s your RMT!
